Call to Action: Protect Parental Rights in Healthcare

HB 173 — Parental Rights in Healthcare will be heard in the Florida House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, February 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

This legislation strengthens and restores parental authority in healthcare decisions and protects Florida families from government overreach.

Florida parents and citizens must act now to ensure this bill advances.

  • Human sexuality education (including instruction on sexual topics, STDs, or gender identity).
  • Surveys or questionnaires (paper or digital).
  • Counseling, screenings, or referrals related to mental, emotional, or behavioral health.
  • Classroom instruction, guest speakers, or assemblies covering these areas.
  • Extracurricular activities or staff conversations on the same issues.
